See who stood out from the late-January ECNL action in Orlando. We will have an analysis on exclusively Florida athletes coming later this week. [player_tooltip player_id="11817" first="Nolan" last="Burns"], LM, Maryland United FC (Md.), Soph.: Burns is a very attack-minded winger who will threaten goal and is a good 1 v 1 defender. He has a strong, lower body so it is difficult for an opponent to push him off the ball. [player_tooltip player_id="12900" first="Conor" last="Coyne"], CB, Match Fit Academy (N.J.), Jr.: Coyne is a strong defender who reads the game well and makes good hard tackles. He is a leader in the back and gets up well for headers. He can be a technical player out of the back but also knows when he can send a long ball up the sides to a teammate that can make a run toward goal. Jack Dofflemyer, D/M, Skyline Elite SC (Va.), Soph.: shows leadership and is a technical player out of the back. Will make good, aggressive tackles. Cooper Carmen, RB, FC Wichita (Kan.), Soph.: makes good tackles and with good speed, opponents are unable to get around him. Has good footwork when 1 v 1 defending. Dominick D’Elia, D, South Carolina Surf SC (S.C.), Soph.: strong, physical defender that has good footwork 1 v 1 defending and shows good leadership in the back. He is an athletic presence and is good in the air. [player_tooltip player_id="13179" first="Stephen" last="Deak"], GK, Match Fit Academy (N.J.), Soph.: Deak is a big, strong keeper who has very good footwork and great anticipation to know when he needs to come out of his goal to cut down the angle of an attacker or stop an attack. When he goes to the ground from a shot on goal, Deak is quick to get back to his feet to make another save. He has soft hands to secure the ball from shots but also knows when he needs to punch the ball from his area. Deak is a big shot-stopper. Beck Dean, CM, South Carolina Surf SC (S.C.), Soph.: Dean is a holding mid that distributes the ball well to teammates and plays box to box. He has good ball control and does not panic when under pressure. [player_tooltip player_id="11770" first="Luke" last="Dunne"], CM, Maryland United FC (Md.), Soph.: Dunne is a very aggressive, attack-minded midfielder who is a playmaker with great vision to find open teammates and has a good, hard shot on target. Dunne will get back to help on defense, tackles well, and has good footwork when 1 v 1 defending. He looks slender but has good upper body strength. [player_tooltip player_id="12993" first="James" last="Ferraro"], F, Match Fit Academy (N.J.), Jr.: Ferraro has good, explosive speed on counter attacks and has very good ball control during attacks. Plays as a false 9 that is deep lying, he will get back to help on defense but is also a good striker of the ball when the scoring opportunity presents itself. [player_tooltip player_id="11815" first="Noah" last="Gregory"], D/M, Maryland United FC (Md.), Soph.: Gregory is a strong, athletic presence in the back and shows good leadership qualities. He makes aggressive tackles and is good in the air. Jose Guzman, M, Maryland United FC (Md.), Soph.: Guzman is an athletic, defensive-minded midfielder who will go up against any size opponent and will also pivot as an 8 to play box to box. [player_tooltip player_id="37620" first="Alex" last="Hauskrecht"], M, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (Pa.), Soph.: Hauskrecht is an attack-minded winger who will get wide on the pitch and threaten the goal. He has good ball control and is also a playmaker. Erik Huerta Chavez, CB, FC Wichita (Kan.), Soph.: Huerta Chavez is an athletic presence in the back and shows good leadership. He makes good, aggressive tackles and has very good speed. Josh Jashinski, M, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (Pa.), Soph.: Jashinski is a very athletic midfield player who plays box to box. He is defensive-minded but will get forward to support teammates in attacking third. [player_tooltip player_id="13029" first="Joseph" last="Juarez"], M, Match Fit Academy (N.J.), Jr.: Juarez is a good 1 v 1 defender who makes good tackles and will push an opponent off the ball with his upper body strength. He is a box-to-box player who gets into a good position to support an attack but also defends well. [player_tooltip player_id="15257" first="Milo" last="Larson"], F/M, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (Pa.), Soph.: On counter attacks, Larson uses good ball control and speed to make it difficult for defenders to stay with him or steal the ball. He reads the game well and makes good runs up the wing. Ronan MacDonald, M/F, Skyline Elite SC (Va.), Soph.: MacDonald makes good runs in between and behind defenders. On a couple of free kicks, he was able to put the ball in the area that a teammate put a head on it or where it made it difficult for the keeper to catch the ball. Keaton Rawls, F/M, FC Wichita (Kan.), Soph.: Rawls is a good-sized player who will play as a false 9 but is also a good 1 v 1 defender when moved into a midfield position. For his size, he has good speed and has good control with the ball. Dani Romero, D/M, Skyline Elite SC (Va.), Soph.: Romero is a strong defender who has very good bursting speed on counter attacks and is a technical player out of the back. Nathaniel Stephens, F, FC Wichita (Kan.), Soph.: Stephens has good control with the ball and will make good runs behind the defense. When he receives the ball on the left side of the pitch, he will always cut back to his right to take a shot on goal. Stephens has good size and speed to go up against a defender and works very hard to create space. [player_tooltip player_id="13140" first="Rayce" last="Welborne"], F/D, Match Fit Academy (N.J.), Jr.: Welborne is a small, quick-footed forward who has a good left-footed shot. He has nice ball control and can create space with his quick ball skills. He was moved to left back but is still an option going forward during attacks. Welborne is not afraid to go up against any size opponent. [player_tooltip player_id="11574" first="Ammar" last="Yusuf"], F, Maryland United FC (Md.), Soph.: Yusuf is a true 9 who is a powerful striker of the ball and can finish. He has very good speed and will use that speed on counter attacks to get around or by an opponent fairly easy and to get back on defense if the team loses the ball. He is a very unselfish player.
