ECNL Opening Weeks: Can’t-Miss Goals to Watch Again

<p>We're a few weeks into the 2026/2027 season in some regions. While others are just gearing up to kick off this week. Already, teams have started to rack up points and make their mark early. Across the board, the new season is bringing plenty of energy; and with it, some truly highlight-worthy goals. From numerous age groups, here are a few early-season finishes that have already caught our eye.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Sakalo opened her account with two goals; one from the penalty spot and another with a composed strike from the top of the box. Notably, she showcased impressive control in tight spaces. Settling the ball at the edge of the area before finishing with a shot that kissed the post on its way in. Furthermore, her confidence in front of goal stands out, as she is never shy about taking her chances. In particular, her strike stood out. Not only for its accuracy but for the impressive power she generated from range at her age. Additionally, her composure under pressure adds another layer to her attacking profile. She recognized an opening in the wall, expertly curving the ball into the corner of the net. The speed and power behind the shot left the goalkeeper with little chance to react. Additionally, while her quick footwork and ability to drive the ball forward are often key aspects of her game. This moment showcased her composure and precision from a dead-ball situation. Notably, what was impressive about her goal and highlighted her game was her ability to shift past the goalie. She kept possession, and clinically finish in a matter of seconds. Continuing to support the play and recognzing one of her teammates making the same run she slowed down. This highlighted her spatial awareness and further by cutting in towards net.
