Five Goalkeepers to Know From the New Texas 2030 Girls Rankings

<p>After several months of research and scouting, Prep Soccer Texas is proud to release the newest version of its 2030 Girls State Rankings. The Rankings are a step forward from the previous original version, which had all players on a watch list; now the top 60 prospects in the Lone Star State are ranked by potential.</p>   <p>The rankings will continue to be consistently updated so they accurately reflect the progress achieved by players over time and present a clear picture of the Texas landscape, always keeping in mind each prospect's potential to make an impact at the next level.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong><a href="https://prepsoccer.com/texas/rankings/girls/2030-rankings/">Texas 2030 Girls State Rankings</a></strong></li> </ul>   <p>The new version of Texas 2030 Girls State Rankings feature 100 players from every corner of the Lone Star State, and we're taking the week to present you with some of the most intriguing names that made the list. These goalkeepers are part of the top crop in Texas:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Gage is the top-ranked goalkeeper in the Rankings and appears in third place overall in Texas. She plays for Walnut Grove at the high school level and just joined Solar SC in the ECNL League after having some strong seasons with [program_tooltip program_id='283317' first='[program_tooltip program_id='280767' first='DKSC' last='']' last=''] and is constantly called up for USYNT training camps. A tall goalkeeper with solid technical foundations and excellent positioning between the posts, she's really hard to score at and typically delivers well in high-pressure moments. A vocal leader for the backline, Gage was previously a field player and has great quality on the ball and patience in possession to move it out of the back.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Becker appears in sixth place among the goalkeepers and takes the 38th spot overall in the Lone Star State. She's a goalkeeper for Boerne's high school team and plays for [program_tooltip program_id='283397' first='[program_tooltip program_id='278668' first='Lonestar' last='']' last='SC'] in the ECNL League after moving over from [program_tooltip program_id='283296' first='Classics' last='Elite']. Becker stands out for her excellent work between the posts, making great use of her impressive reflexes and reaction speed to keep the ball off the net. She's part of Shadow Creek High School's varsity team and represents [program_tooltip program_id='283243' first='Albion' last='Hurricanes FC'] in the ECNL League. De Peuter is very calm between the posts and has very solid technical skills, a combination that prevents her from being caught out of position or spilling easy shots. The goalkeeper communicates very well with her teammates and does a very good job of quickly putting the ball back in play after making stops, often starting quick transition plays for her team.</p>   <p><strong><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DdC_ldeNmIV/">Highlights</a></strong></p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Robertson earned eighth place in the goalkeepers' list and took 54th overall. She attends Burleson Centennial High School and plays for the new [program_tooltip program_id='385786' first='Albion' last='SC Dallas'] team in the Girls Academy League. As a goalkeeper, Robertson combines great length, which allows her to make difficult stops in shots fired toward the corner, and solid mobility, which helps when she has to step away from her position to get to passes behind the backline. She plays for [program_tooltip program_id='283457' first='San' last='Antonio City SC'] in the Girls Academy League. Bushur is very tall and gets to cover a large area of the goal with her long arms. She also demonstrates good quality in making stops when called to action, providing a lot of stability for her team between the posts.
