St Xavier (Ky.) defender [player_tooltip player_id="11525" first="Patrick" last="Walz"] announced this past week that he will be playing for Lipscomb University in Nashville Tenn.
While at Louisville power St Xavier, Walz, a Class of 2022 prospect, was a two-time all district selection, two-time All 7th Region team member and a member of the all-state team. Walz recorded four goals during the 2021 season.
"With an extremely talented group of players and experienced coaching, Lipscomb felt like a no brainer," Walz said. "I am very excited to join the Bison family."
Walz is the third senior from his class at St Xavier to commit to a Division I program, joining goalkeeper [player_tooltip player_id="11449" first="Clayton" last="Brooks"] (DePaul) and defender Jeffery Cox (Bellarmine).
Lipscomb finished the 2021 season at a 12-4-2 record with a ASUN conference title.
