Rice is a defensive midfielder on the NVA 2012 GA team. She has been a key part of that midfield group during this season. She’s a high-activity player in the No. 6 role. She covers a lot of ground and likes to be in the action immediately.

She’s a very good on-ball defender. She moves her feet well and gets into the tackle with good balance. She’s not passive in her defensive efforts and the willingness to get stuck into the tackle in the center of the field is refreshing to see.

Rice also stood out for her passing. She isn’t trying to do too much with the ball and there aren’t a ton of highlight reel clips of her passing, but she is great at improvising and making quick decisions. She lifts her teammates with her play.
