There’s an argument to be made that Florida should be a top five class. It’s got the depth and star-power to be in that conversation. The Florida coaching staff has done a masterful job in building up the program and establishing a clear identity (in both playing style and players who fit).
The leap that this class needs to solidify that lofty ranking is for one of the three headliners (

, Grace Milam, or Nylah Norris) to make the jump into the echelon of undisputed blue-chip prospect. McLanahan is the most obvious candidate to reach that plateau. She’s shown she can compete and shine against the best of the best at the club game. Her positional flexibility should help her get onto the field early, but it also could be a hinderance in figuring out where she can shine the best for the Gators. There is every reason to trust the Florida coaching staff to get the most out of this class, and it will probably vastly its current ranking.

McLanaham joined FC Dallas this season and made the team’s strong offensive system even stronger. Because of her excellent all-around game, she can play in different roles for the team, lining up as a striker, as a playmaker, or on the wings. One of McLanahan’s main interesting skills is her ability to move off the ball, which helps her find themselves in great spots to get on the ball and attack the opposing backline. The forward is very difficult to stop in 1v1 situation and can score on and off the penalty kick with great effeciency.

An offensive standout for the entire calendar year, McLanahan leads FC Dallas as one of the favorites going into the Elite 8 in Richmond. Her technical savvy and previous ECNL championship experience are going to be tested and relied on heavily, especially taking on such a strong opponent in the quarterfinal round in Beach FC out of California. This clash of heavyweights is going to be must see, and expect McLanahan to be in the thick of it.

Fresh from helping the US triumph in the Concacaf Women’s Under-17 Championship, McLanahan was a strong offensive piece for FC Dallas. A new face with the team, she was used as a striker and was a difference-maker up top. Because of her mobility, she always found ways to get on the ball in dangerous spots and was very difficult to stop. McLanahan dribbled the ball well with both feet, created chances for her teammates and scored a beautiful goal in the second half with a powerful left-footed finish.

A very complete offensive player, McLanahan leads the attacking line for Solar 07. Very quick and skilled on the ball, she’s a forward that scores goals, but also assists her teammates, as she did twice in the Texas Cup. She can play wider or more centrally and will always create problems for opposing defenders with her excellent footwork and mobility. Her excellent first touch gives McLanahan a major advantage when she has space to attack in transition.

With four goals and two assists from the first two games at the event, McLanahan was pacing the Solar offense and outscoring most of the other teams at the event. She is a threat to score from anywhere inside of 35 yards on goal. This event showed why she is one of the top recruits from the 2026 class.

McLanahan is a new addition to Texas, as she joined the stacked Solar SC 06 ECNL team during the offseason. She is an attacking midfielder who can also play as a forward. She has all the traits that you want from an attacking midfielder. Great first touch, clever on the ball, and excellent vision. She is playing alongside the best 2024s in the country and still making an impact. When she drops down to play with the Solar 07, she takes over the game.
