The postseason for Boys Club Soccer is coming to a close this month with the US Youth Soccer upcoming. The past two months of showcases and playoffs have been a perfect opportunity to look at some of the upcoming talent from the class of 2025.

These are the players that impressed from the class of 2025 from the MLS Next and Boys ECNL Playoffs.

F Sean Petrie, Barca Academy

Petrie showed off in the MLS Next Best Of game. He scored a spectacular goal in the first half as he cut up the defender and then tucked home the shot. Petrie looks like one of the top attacking talents to know from the class of 2025. Moises Almontes, Andrew Porucznik, and Wilondja Clement were also standouts in that Best Of game.

F Landon Ortega, San Antonio FC

Ortega impressed with his quality on the ball. He was impressive in the win over OCYS. He scored twice. The first goal showed off his determination as he battled through a tackle to get off a shot in the box. His second goal showed off his skill as he chipped the keeper coming off his line to stop a breakaway. Ortega and the San Antonio FC 07 team went 3-0 in the Showcase event at MLS Next.

F Sean Santos, Alexandria SA

Santos scored seven goals in three games during the MLS Next Showcase. His first goal against Real Colorado was a perfect example of what he brings to any team. He is a determined forward who will chase down any chance. He ran down a long ball that looked like it was heading out of bounds, but Santos got to the ball before it crossed the line. Once he has the ball at his feet, he is only looking to score. A few big strides later, and a nifty finish, the ball was in the back of the net. His teammates were great at finding him and playing balls over hte top for him to run onto in space. Santos had a breakout performance at the event in Texas and will be one to watch for the future.

F Cole Spady, Louisiana TDP Elitę

Spady was another breakout from the forward position at MLS Next. He scored five goals in the three games. His dynamic pace and strength were difficult for the opposition to contain. He showed off his finishing instincts around the box with a couple of poachers goals as well. Spady can play with his back to the goal, or face up against defenders and take them on the dribble. He has a high ceiling for a player from the class of 2025.

M [player_tooltip player_id="8527" first="Ricardo" last="Moreno"], San Diego Surf

Moreno was one of the top players at the Boys ECNL National Playoffs in San Diego. He did everything for his side. He looks to be a great option as a No. 8 box-to-box midfielder for the future. He is capable of connecting the lines with his passes, and also being a playmaker from that role. He is also committed to the defensive side of the ball and works hard to win the ball back for his team. Moreno is a top prospect from the class of 2025 from California.
