<p>Since Homestead, located in Fort Wayne, Ind., won last year's AAA crown, there are a number of Indianapolis squads motivated to return the trophy of the Indy suburbs and there's plenty of talent that makes it possible.</p>

<p><strong>FORWARDS:</strong> Missouri commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='22270' first='Brianna' last='Buels'] </strong>is the most dynamic of the returning forwards in Indy this season. Buels received third-team all-state honors last year after producing a 29-goal season for a team that finished 13-2-2. ... <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='22324' first='Josie' last='Studley']</strong> has been a standout at Brebeuf Jesuit since first putting on a jersey at the elite private school. She scored 15 goals and added 13 assists last season while earning third-team all-state honors. ... Hamilton Southeastern, a preseason FAB 50 team, might sport the offense that can challenge for a state title this fall. The Royals return its top two scorers from last season -- IUPUI commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='55233' first='Caroline' last='Kelley']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='22409' first='Tatum' last='Coleman']</strong>. Coleman was a third-team all-state honoree in 2021 and Kelley received honorable mention. ... </p>

<p><strong>MIDFIELDERS: [player_tooltip player_id='22229' first='Ava' last='Bramblett'] </strong>of Noblesville is an early candidate for state player of the year. The Ohio State commit is coming of a season where she scored 17 goals, assisted on nine and earned first-team all-state honors. ... At North Central last season, everything ran through <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='22393' first='Samantha' last='King']</strong> in the midfield, and she was clearly one of the best in the state. The Bowling Green commit had 18 goals and 17 assists in 20 matches last year while garnering second-team all-state honors. ... <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='22304' first='Erika' last='Wells']</strong> of East Central recorded 12 goals and 18 assists last season and was a bit under the radar. She has committed to Illinois State. ... Avon struggled in the win column last year but figures to be improved in 2022. The key returner is <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='22372' first='Molly' last='Williams']</strong>, who was second on the team in scoring last season. </p>

<p><strong>DEFENDERS:</strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='22344' first='Lauren' last='Adam']</strong> of Noblesville has been a bit overlooked in recent years since she played in a program with so many high-profile prospects. This should be the season for Adam, who was a third-team all-state pick in 2021. Adam has committed to Purdue. ... With a second-year coach and a lot of returning starters, Fishers is hoping to get back into the conversation of top teams. ... <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='22364' first='Marit' last='Mclaughlin']</strong> of Noblesville might be more of a midfielder this season, but this ECNL standout will be a player to watch.</p>

<p><strong>GOALKEEPER: [player_tooltip player_id='22231' first='Kate' last='Phillips'] </strong>of Cathedral is returning following a season where she helped the squad to a 12-2-6 record and received third-team all-state honors. Cathedral allowed only 13 goals in 20 matches. Phillips has committed to Missouri. </p>
