This article is looking at the players with high upside from the national rankings in the class of 2025. These are players who are either on the move at the club level or showing promise early in the new season as a player that demands more attention. The ranking analysis has an in-depth look at five of the players from the national rankings.
The standout goalkeeper from Cincinnati United Premier is one of the top players in her position for the country in this class. She has elite intangibles including her height. She is incredible athletic for the position. She has quick reflexes that can make her one of the most frustrating goalkeepers to face for forwards at the high school and club level. With a wingspan and Knight has the qualities that will make her an early target for top programs in need of a goalkeeper in the class of 2025.
Highlights
Senden was one of the most exciting players during the scouting process for this class. She played for Tonka Fusion Elite last season, but she is playing for the MN Thunder Academy during this ECNL season. She is a dominant player on the field with game-changing qualities. She has track speed in the 100 and 200 meters. That breakaway pace shows on game-film. She is also strong on the ball and very difficult to knock off the ball. One of the elements of Senden’s game that really stands out is her efficiency in possession. She does not waste touches. She plays on the left wing and she is going to take the more direct route to scoring a goal. She has an excellent left foot and will be a marked player in the ECNL quickly as teams learn about how dangerous she can be in space.

Isabella Daniels Isabella Daniels D Regis Jesuit | 2025 State #132 Nation CO is another outside back from Colorado in this ranking. She plays on the right side of a back four. She is good going forward at either putting in a cross or hitting a shot from outside of the box. Daniels comes from the highly regard Colorado Rapids Academy and will be a highly targeted recruit in the 2025 class.
Byeman is one of the top center backs in the country and one of the top prospects from Washington in the class of 2025. She plays as the right center back for her club team. She offers a weapon from that role for a possession-dominant team. She is very comfortable on the ball under pressure. She is confident, calm, and in control. She does well in distribution, as she can pick out a pass to any line – outside back, center midfielder, or forward. Her cross field plays to the opposition winger tend to catch the opposition off guard. Defensively, Byeman is strong in the tackle and does well in anticipating when to step in front of the mark. She is a player to know from the Northwest in this class.
Atehortua is a fascinating player to scout. She is incredibly talented on the ball – a magician in how she can control the ball and fool the defender. She is an attacking midfielder at the next level. She is good on the dribble at attacking defenders, but also creative on the pass. She is a good finisher. She has earned a call-up to the youth national team because she has the qualities that could take her game there. Her club team relies on her to keep them dynamic in the attack. She’s found some success at that level. She needs to improve in her ability to influence the game all over the field rather than just the final third. She has the quality to be one of the top midfielders in this class.
