Gabe Brangers, Bullitt East
The senior keeper had a tremendous showcase for Bullitt East. Brangers saved three out of four shots in a PK shootout against Fairdale in the 6th region semifinal. Brangers led Bullitt East to the region title game. The senior only conceded two goals during the tournament. Brangers uses his size well and is very quick.
Mohammed Alshabot, Butler
Alshabot performed well over the tournament as he led Butler to the 6th region title. The senior is very essential in the defense for Butler. Alshabot also has the ability to produce goals for Butler. The senior had three goals in two games.
Tanner Chitwood, Bullitt East
Chitwood nailed the winning shot against Fairdale to lead Bullitt East to the region final. The senior is very skilled in the midfield.
Franck Mwungura, Fern Creek
The senior forward/defender is a player that college coaches should know. Mwungura has a ton of size and speed. He kept Fern Creek in the matchup against Moore. The senior also put in the winning shot to beat Moore in the quarterfinals in a PK shootout.
Eduardo Mendez-Perez Eduardo Mendez-Perez M KY , Moore
The senior is a very lethal striker that does not get enough credit. Although Moore lost in the first round in a shootout to Fern Creek, Perez had several chances and was a solid leader on the field for Moore.
Dylan Walker, Fairdale
The senior keeper recorded 12 saves against Desales and 10 saves against Bullitt East. Walker is a quick keeper and a solid leader for Fairdale.
Benit Mulume, Butler
The junior midfielder had four goals this past week in the tournament to lead Butler to a 6th Region title. Mulume has a strong soccer IQ and is very patient on the field.
Trey McCoomer, Desales
McCoomer controlled the midfield for Desales very well against Fairdale. The junior is one to keep an eye on for next season as Desales looks to be an early favorite in 2023 in the 6th Region.
