Although she plays mostly at forward she has also spent some time in the midfield, which gives her the opportunity to to smash goals in from distance. The Brave are a new side in the ECNL, coming together as part of an agreement between  Braddock Road Youth Club (BRYC) and Vienna Youth Soccer (VYS)  starting this season. The merger has created a unique side and one of the major leaders is McCloskey, who also plays high school soccer at James Madison. The forward, working with mdifielder Eileen Harvey (more on her in a minute), has built a strong Brave spine, giving the new side some structure while the rest of the pieces come together. Playing goalkeeper at 5'6u0022 isn't the easiest job in soccer, but she has a strong vertical leap and makes sound reads on crosses into the box and shots from distance. She is a dominant force inside the box, willing to make a diving save at the right time and organize the defense on set pieces. She is ambidextrous and is comfortable making a first touch and striking the ball with either foot. While that would give defenders enough problems, that she can also make quick, decisive diagonal runs at defenders makes her nearly impossible to stop.
