<p>BALTIMORE, Md. - Crofton earned its first Maryland state championship on Thursday, defeating Mount Hebron 1-0 to win the girls Class 3A title. Midfielder Cassidy Nicholl scored the game-winner late in the first half off of a pinpoint pass into the box by Meghan Piazza.</p>
