MOJO Showcase – The Solid Goalkeepers

Also a football student-athlete, Jones impresses by his size and athleticism, but is surprisingly agile and can get off his line really quick to stop transition plays. He's the kind of goalkeeper that makes his team feel confident only with his presence. He kept clean sheets in all three matches and although the great work make by the field players rarely exposed Aviles to dangerous situations, he did very well when called upon, responding to the challenge. He's very good technically, has excellent reflexes and does a very good job in using his legs to make saves. He's also very confident and comfortable on the ball, connecting good passes from the back and helping the team's buildup even when he's under pressure. He is one of those goalkeepers who quietly get the job done and benefit from their great positioning to make important, yet not visually spectacular saves. He rarely rebounds the ball and is very intelligent and safe with his decisions when he can't catch the ball and end the play for good. He proved to be extremely reliable, not allowing second chances in the shots that were fired his way, and displayed a high level of agility and good reflexes between the posts.
