Heading into the matchup, Carsyn Deligans immediately caught my attention during warmups. Given her physical presence and the fact that she was leading the line for IMG Academy, I figured she would be a player worth watching—and she didn’t disappoint.
Although IMG Academy ultimately fell 4-3 to La Morinda, Deligans remained one of the biggest bright spots on the field. The University of Tennessee commit showed exactly why she’ll be joining the Volunteers, combining strength, confidence, and technical quality in the final third.
Her goal was a moment of individual brilliance. Deligans flicked the ball over a defender not once, but twice, completely taking over the sequence before calmly finishing to cap off one of the best individual plays of the match. It’s the type of goal that showcases both creativity and composure under pressure.

Top player from IMG academy has committed her future to the #5 ranked University of Tennessee. She is a top 5 Florida Talent with excellent athleticism and really fits the mold of an SEC player. Tall, good in the air, high energy and a cannon of a left foot. The Volunteers are thriving on and off the field.

Deligans is a midfielder on the IMG Academy Girls Academy team. She is a decorated player with a number of honors. Deligans would’ve been considered a top player in the 2026 class to give some perspective. She has big time potential. This season, she’s enjoyed a dominant run of form for IMG Academy in the Girls Academy. She’s right footed, but not afraid to pull the shot off with her left when the opportunity presents itself. Last season, it felt like her finishing was the highlight of her game. This season, her playmaking has been taking the forefront. She’s shown incredible vision and helped some of her teammates to have outstanding campaigns with her passing. Deligans continues to elevate her game and has proven to be one of the best in the Girls Academy over the past two seasons. Her defensive intensity could improve in the future and probably will be asked to by the type of college programs that will look to recruit her. She can be passive off the ball as a defender. That said, her offensive contributions are what makes her a top player from this class.

Would’ve been a top player in the 2026 class. Big time potential. Dominant run of form for IMG Academy in the Girls Academy. Can play as either an attacking midfielder or a center forward. Defenses can’t afford to get her an inch of space around the box. Capable finisher with either foot, also a good finisher with her head. Deligans has the physical profile, skill, and determination to be a top player in the national rankings for this class.
