Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Guilherme has been an avid soccer fan since his childhood. After getting a journalism degree, he covered the sport at the professional level for three years in the country, reporting on matches of the Rio de Janeiro State Championship and the Brazilian Serie A. He moved to the United States in 2016 and spent three years covering the Columbus Crew on Major League Soccer. Guilherme started contributing to Prep Soccer Texas in 2023 and one year later became the state's lead scout. He covers dozens of club and high school matches for both boys and girls in the Houston area every season.
