Brinker is a center back who impressed as a weapon on set pieces. She wins her aerial duels, but better than that she does well in tracking the flight of the ball. She showed that she will adjust her runs and find the right spot to be to get a header on the ball. She won the header on the first two corner kicks (in the attacking half) against Richmond, which included scoring a goal. In possession, she has a strong right foot and tends to take most free kicks for her side. She can easily switch the point of attack. Defensively, she is strong in the tackle and does well as the center of the backline. She is a player to watch this season in the ECNL as she has helped NC Fusion to a 4-2 start on the campaign.
