The Memphis commit was just crowned as Co-Player of the Year by CalHi Sports. She is part of the 40/40 club with 43 goals and 40 assists for the Dragons. Being a big part in the attack, 31 of her goals came in her senior year. She leads this prolific attack, which has 92 goals in only 16 matches. Abby is also only one of two players to start in all four years. Abby’s awesome season may also include additional POTY awards as well as a golden boot award.

She had a great showing on defense, with flares of passing, ball control, and making clean win-backs. Abby is a recent Memphis commit. Definitely looking forward to seeing her have a standout Senior year of high school as she was named to Prep Soccer’s High School NorCal Region 1st team last season. She plays the left wing-back well and can also make runs to down the or make precise passes to midfielders in open pockets.

Great night for the Mustang and Bishop O’Dowd standout last night. She is extremely versatile, has excellent technique and scored a good goal. Forsgren has an immense engine to get up and down the flanks. Her end product is getting better and better every time I watch her.

Highly productive attacking talent at a top ECNL club is usually one of the first attributes that college scouts look for and Forsgren fits that description perfectly. She’s a talented winger with versatility. She can fill in defensively as well. She’s fresh off another stellar high school season where she was an All-League First Team selection. Forsgren continuing that confident play into Phoenix should have scouts lining the sidelines at Mustang games.

Another game winner for Ms. Forsgren and another fantastic performance. Her energy is infectious and her quality on the ball sticks out in every game I’ve seen her play. She can beat you on the dribble, use both feet, and her first touch almost never lets her down. With her and her teammate

Such a polished player already. The Junior thrives anywhere on the outside of the formation. She’s very two footed and has great timing when dribbling into passes. She had a spectacular hockey assist where she dribbled by two or three players and slotted her teammate through superbly for a cross and finish. She is the captain of this young O’dowd team and they are going to need her firing on all cylinders down the stretch if they want to win NCS, and State. She’s getting recruited at some of the top schools in Division 1 for a reason.

LB:
The super athletic wing back comes into the season with something to prove. Her Mustang team fell short of qualifying for playoffs last season. If they are going to correct that Forsgren is going to need to play a huge role. She is a two-way player as she bombs on down the wing and gets forward to create opportunities as well as a lockdown defender. There will be a lot of interest from recruiters.

Forsgren was outstanding in the championship game against New England. The right back showed she is a two-way player. Comfortable and confident on the ball, she offered an outlet for the center midfielders when they were under pressure. Her dribbling skills were on display as she skated around defenders and created an overload on the right side of the attack for her team. Forsgren showed quality defensively too with excellent tackles and a sharp soccer mind in her positioning off the ball. The two-time Conference Cup participant was outstanding for the championship winning side.
