About Addison

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to be involved with my team from warmups to the the last minute of the game. My goal is to help my teammates stay organized and aware of everything happening on the field. I like to work with my defense to be involved on each and every play. I am very talkative and like to help direct the field strategy from a goalkeeper perspective.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I started playing flag football in 8th grade and I love it! It allows me to cross train in the offseason, play another competitive sport, and make lots of new friends who I didn’t already know from school or soccer. It adds to my busy schedule but it is so much fun and I am so glad I found it.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently involved with Coast Hills Church and I volunteer during Sunday service as well as summer camps. I work with kids of all ages at the summer camp and help organize games, activities and worship service. Last year i was a group leader coordinating the 3rd grade during the week long event. I attend beach clean-ups throughout the year & coordinate making chalk boxes for hospitals.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned to be a great leader since i play goalie for both my club team and my high school team. Since my position is unique i have the ability to direct the team for the back of the field and guide them to success during each match. Since I need to stay focused and composed under pressure, I have mental strength, great communication skills and ability to make decisions.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I face challenges during every match due to the high level of mental skills needed as well as staying focused and performing my best. The goal is being able to read the game to the best of my ability and it's not always easy to overcome once the ball gets in the back of the net but you have to have mental toughness.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that can provide great academics, career preparedness and with a strong soccer program.
