Rodriguez is the top-ranked prospect in our updated Rankings. The goalkeeper attends Cristo Rey High School and plays for FC Dallas in the ECNL League. She’s one of the top goalkeepers in the country and is frequently part of USYNT training camps. Rodriguez is a rare goalkeeper who is both very reliable, rarely spilling shots or being caught out of position, and spectacular, making jaw-dropping stops on shots fired on the corners. She’s super technical, nicely athletic and stands out for her ability to read plays and react to them, be it when stopping shots or stepping up to challenge opponents 1v1.

Rodriguez’s playoff run was nothing short of impressive, especially as she helped her team reach the final four; a milestone worth celebrating. Throughout the tournament, she stood out as a small but dynamic presence, always staying one step ahead of the play. In transition, Rodriguez reacted quickly to loose balls, using her speed to pounce on opportunities and keep her team on the front foot. Time and again, her awareness and quick first steps allowed her to break up plays or spark attacks.

Rodriguez represents the FC Dallas G10 team that will be tested against Sting Austin G10 and Lonestar ‘ last=’SC’] RL G10 Red. One of the top goalkeepers in the country, she’s a difference-maker between the posts at the highest levels and makes of her team a very tough one to score on. Very technical and consistent, she can make save after save and does a great job of sustaining pressure and keeping her focus right where it should be. Athletic and explosive to work between the posts, she also dominates the penalty box when she goes out to claim crosses and is very effective at leaving her line to stop opponents 1v1.

Rodriguez helped FC Dallas get a win and a tie in their matches in Texas. She did very well in a 1-1 tie against SLSG Navy, contributing to her team’s strong second-half performance, which saw them level the score despite having only ten players on the field. With Rodriguez’s team trailing and being down a player, FC Dallas ‘ defensive system was more exposed than usual, which demanded more work from her. The goalkeeper was very quick to leave her spot to get to passes behind the backline and also handled well the shots that went on target. Rodriguez was also very focal, helping keep the backline alert and organized.

A goalkeeper with FC Dallas , Rodriguez is the top-ranked player in the Class of 2029. A Mexican-American, she’s deservedly on the radar of both national and was in a U15 USYNT training camp as recently as last week. Rodriguez played up with Dallas’ 15s team in the last ECNL season and was a stud between the posts for them, even playing one age group up. Rodriguez has very firm hands, very rarely spilling the ball or giving up a rebound, and is very athletic and explosive to get to shots on the upper corners. Spatial awareness is another of her strengths as she reads her surroundings very well and is capable of navigating the penalty box very efficiently to get to crosses and to leave her spot and beat opponents for the ball when passes are sent behind her backline.
