About Alayna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My play style is very competitive and aggressive. I fight the whole game even if we are losing, and I encourage my teammates to do so as well. My current coach often calls me a "bulldog" because if I lose the ball I will battle for it back doing whatever I can.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I feel I have a massive growth mindset. This means that if I don't do something that meets my full potential, I will go back and do it as many times as I can to improve. If I miss a shot or make a bad pass, I will try to make it twice as strong or a more accurate pass than the last. I believe my personality strongly reflects my mentality. I want to try new things and improve.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Many injuries have put me out for months at a time including: pulling both of my hamstrings multiple times, a deep tissue injury in my ankle, and knee injuries. All were very tough, took long to recover, and made it hard to improve with not being able to practice.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm seeking a college with great sports and academic opportunities. I want to be able to improve in any way that I can whether that be on the field or in the classroom. I also want an inviting college that has a nice, large campus.
