One of the things I noticed right off the bat was her ability to remain calm under pressure. Her technical skills are clean and fluid. She also made some quick and precise passes in small windows. Alena was selected for the USYS ODP National Select Team, which previously played matches in Costa Rica. It will be great to see her as a YNT invite, as her skills are definitely on par with the rest. She also got her team’s second goal of the match. Alena played as a box-to-box midfielder and contributed on both ends to let it be a 3-3 draw.

Another midfielder capable of scoring, Raymundo sticks with the play, stays patient, and allows the sequence to develop before continuing her run to find the net. Her timing on runs, combined with her quick bursts, allows her to get behind back lines. She’s the type of midfielder who reads gaps early, accelerates through them, and turns those moments into real scoring chances.

Raymundo is a player currently in the rankings who has impressed quite a bit in recent months. The Girls Academy standout has been on the radar for scouts and earned a spot on the Generation adidas Cup All-Star team.
She is an attacking talent in the midfield. She has excellent close control, a set piece specialist, and the playmaking quality to shine in the No. 10 role. Raymundo was great during Champions Cup for her club side and there is plenty of reason to believe that top level potential will continue to show this summer.
