The Los Gatos striker provided high pressure up top and constantly kept the Lancers’ defense on edge. She took quality shots on goal, but the 2 top-level GKs made incredible saves during the 4 periods of play. Ale scored the Wildcats’ 4th PK goal, which gave her 19 goals on the year. The Stanford commit is definitely ready for the next level.

The Stanford commit has had a great weekend thus far. Scoring a great goal yesterday and getting another one today. She can bail out her backline when they have the ball with her ability to run in behind. If the possession breaks down you always know she is up there and wanting to get a ball played over the top. She can smack a ball with real venom and just like most players coming through the De Anza Force academy is excellent in possession.

Alessandra is a left winger who imposes herself in the final third regardless of whether she has the ball or not. A welcome, unexpected, and wonderful attribute she has is her tough tackling. Constantly going in for duels, she does not allow the opposing right-back to play a forward pass. Given this virtue, she allows for her team to press high alongside her. If she doesn’t recover the ball, her teammates will, thanks to her work in pressing. On the ball, she’s just as talented. Her vision and execution of passes are unreal. Finding passes where many players don’t even look, she’s a constant headache for defenders. She proves this fact with her dribbles, which are always progressive and seeking to create danger.

The Stanford commit is an extremely fluid athlete. She has a really powerful shot and quick burst of speed. Really committed on the defensive press and seems like an excellent teammate.

I’m not sure how many forwards in this class have a highlight reel devoted to their defensive work, but there is at least one. Munneke takes a lot of joy out of her commitment to pressing and defending and that quality is reflected in the results for her side. She is often the first line of defense for De Anza 08 ECNL, and she sets the tone with her intensity. She is, without any prejudice toward position, an excellent defender. Aggressive in the tackle, physical in the challenge, and smart about anticipating the next move. She’s not just on the field for her defense though. She’s a dangerous player in the final third. Her decisiveness in her finishing and the timing of her runs is elite among her peers. She plays on the left wing, she’s right footed. She’s got the pace and quick thinking to start early on in her career at the next level.
