Hernandez is a winger on the Colorado Rapids U15 MLS Next team. I’ve mainly seen him play on the left wing. Hernandez has been part of the US Soccer U14 Mini-Camp last year. He is a dynamic attacking player. He likes to start on the touch line and get in isolated situations. His quick first step and close control of the ball makes him a difficult player to contain. He needs to improve on his recognition about when to take players on. He’s had some struggles about when to take on players on the dribble and when to pass off and combine with teammates. Hernandez’s flair on the ball makes him one of the more exciting players in MLS Next.
