Huerta is an attacking midfielder on the Strikers FC U15 MLS Next team. He’s been on a hot streak lately with a goal in the last five league games prior to MLS Next Flex. Huerta hasn’t been flashy with all of his strikes, but he’s put himself in the right spots to score. His game reminds me a lot of former Pateadores ‘ last=”] star Frankie Amaya. There is this intensity in how they both play that is rare from attacking midfielders. Huerta’s defensive instincts and his tactical intelligence are the two best parts of his game.

Huerta is a midfielder on the Strikers 2010 MLS Next team. He is a key catalyst in the midfield for his side. Calm on the ball, confidently spins away from pressure, and makes quick decisions on the ball. I thought he was a standout in the two recent games against LAFC for his two-way play. He’s not the biggest player, but he is willing to get into the tackle and does well poking the ball away from players with his quick feet. Huerta has made an impact for one of the best MLS Next teams in the country.
