About Ansley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Fast, aggressive, and vocal. I dominate through pure athleticism and sharp field awareness. I read the game early, stepping to intercept rather than waiting to react, and use my speed to cover ground quickly when beaten or recovering. I attack every duel and win most of them. As captain, I organize the back line constantly — calling the line, managing shape, and setting the defensive tone.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a fiercely competitive player who hates losing and lets that hunger drive my work ethic every single day. As captain, I lead by example by setting the tone in training, holding teammates accountable, and always putting the team first no matter what role I’m asked to play. What separates me is my soccer IQ. I read the game ahead of the play, find space before it opens, and make smart decisions

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Freshman year: -Principal Honor’s Roll (Straight A’s) with Distinction (A’s in AP Bio & AP Human Geography. -Academic Scholarship and invitation into the Scholar Distinction Program-AP accelerated rigorous academic curriculum. -National Charity League Engagement and Inclusion Chair -9th grade Student Council Representative -9th grade Co-lead of scholar distinction committee -Book Club

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Off the field, I have developed strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills through serving in multiple roles simultaneously. I am committed to inclusion and empathy, creating environments where others feel valued and heard. My academic discipline and time management allow me to thrive under pressure, balancing a rigorous AP curriculum with competitive soccer without sacrificing grades.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a university that challenges me academically while competing at a high level in soccer. I want to be part of a program where the coaching staff invests in developing players on and off the field. Strong student life, a close-knit team culture, and a campus community where I can grow as a student, athlete, and person are equally important to me!
