About Ariana

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

I make the game tilt toward my team. I press and counter-press with intensity, I win the ball back, and then I go forward with purpose: creating opportunities, distributing, or driving at goal myself. I'm one of the most athletic and competitive players on the field wherever I play, and I've started at attacking mid, defensive mid, and wing back this season. I am relentless.

What are you working to improve right now?

Technical cleanliness under pressure. My first touch and passing are good, and I'm working to make them just as sharp when time is short. I'm also working on explosive drives to goal and consistency in harnessing the power in my shot. That's most of what my extra sessions are about right now.

What are you looking for in a college program?

A program where soccer is the center of my day and my teammates are my people. I want a staff that competes for championships, coaches hard, and expects a lot, because that's how I'm wired. I also want an environment where I can thrive, grow and develop as a person while pursuing my studies.

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

I'm the oldest of six kids raised by a single mom, so I learned early how to manage time, stay disciplined, and show up for other people.

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

Fire and emergency services, with an interest in criminology. I want to be a firefighter. It fits me: it's physical, it's team-based, and you have to make fast decisions when it matters.
