She was a key part of the defense, which pushed back wave after wave of Carondelet’s attack. Ashley made multiple stops in the defensive third. She isn’t afraid to make hard challenges and doesn’t back down from 1v1’s. I really like her range of play, as she made plays on both ends of the pitch. She’s an “up-and-coming player” who should get a lot of looks from college scouts. I’ve covered her in both club and high school, and she always makes an impact on the pitch.

She played primarily at the right wing position. She makes clean passes and finds players in open pockets. She has a really nice cut-back move that can cross players up. Her quick and decisive plays puts her offense in scoring position as she can quickly run up the line and make precise passes on both ends of the field.

Dodson has fantastic foot skills. She’s really great on the ball, and moves the ball quickly. She’s decisive, she’s active and displays great vision. She’s tremendous at picking a pass and placing it accurately, she processes things really quickly and she knows when to push and create or to play a ball quickly.
