Expert Analysis
Roshelle Gobin | Prep Soccer Scout
Nelson continues to impress with her quickness and her ability to use her body to disguise movements, giving her an edge on the pitch. She holds off defenders and turns off the ball to get shots off. Further making herself a consistent threat in the final third. Beyond that, her spatial awareness and soccer IQ stand out. She makes smart runs and gets into goal-scoring positions time and again. As St. Louis unfolds this weekend, Nelson’s work rate and movement off the ball will undoubtedly drive her team’s attack. What’s more, her relentless energy and smart positioning are expected to create quality opportunities in the final third.
