About Austin

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

My biggest strength is my shot-stopping ability, explosiveness, and presence in the box. I’m able to make difficult saves, react quickly in 1v1 situations, and use my reach to make saves in the top corners. I’m also very vocal and take pride in organizing my back line, commanding my box, and bringing confidence and competitiveness to the team.

What are you working to improve right now?

I’m building on my strengths in explosive shot-stopping, 1v1s, commanding the box, and organizing my defense through strong communication. I’m focused on improving my distribution and composure on the ball to become a more complete, confident goalkeeper.

What are you looking for in a college program?

I’m looking for a competitive program with a strong winning culture, high-level coaching, and an environment that will push me to grow as both a goalkeeper and a person. I want to compete for a starting role, contribute to team success, and develop academically and athletically while pursuing opportunities at the next level.

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

I maintain a strong academic record with a 90+ GPA and am involved in Beta Club, DECA, Interact, and Lumpkin Youth Leadership. I’m disciplined, coachable, and committed to everything I pursue. I value accountability, leadership, and continuous improvement, and I bring the same work ethic to the classroom and everyday life that I bring to the field.

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

I’m interested in studying business and exploring careers in sports management or entrepreneurship. My goal is to build a successful career both on and off the field while continuing to pursue opportunities at the professional level in soccer.
