Washington continues to put together a really strong class in 2024. Morton is the latest addition. She is a midfielder, likely a No. 8 or No. 6 at the next level. She has some attacking qualities to her game that suggest she could be a No. 10 as well, but I believe she’s at her best in a No. 8 role. She is great at her change of pace and getting past defenders with a quick first step. She is decisive on the field and makes good, quick decisions on the ball. Morton should do well with the increase in speed of play as she is a technical player with a good first touch.
