Simpson is a goalkeeper for Bethesda SC 2010 ECNL. She has been part of US Soccer Talent ID events over the past two years. She is five-foot-nine, athletic, and lightning quick. Simpson’s provided more highlight reel saves than almost any other keeper in this class. She is fearless, which is a key trait for the position. She will throw her body in front of any shot. She has been excellent at getting finger tip saves – both in aerial dives and when diving on the ground for a last minute block on an effort. Simpson’s shown the quality at the ECNL level to be considered an elite difference-maker for the position.

Bethesda finished the event with three shutouts. Simpson only let in one goal from the four games. The Bethesda goalkeeper enjoyed a stellar defense in front of her, but she had her highlight reel moments too. I thought she wasn’t asset in possession for her team and was confident on the ball. Simpson has the quality to be a player to know from this age group for a long time.
