About Ava

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My coaches say I am smart on the ball, athletic, and coachable. They also say I am creative in tight spaces and create many goal scoring opportunities.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

However, what makes me unique is I am a good team player, but not afraid to put the team on my shoulders if needed. I try to be a leader on and off the field without being overbearing - my teammates usually respond to me positively.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I work just as hard in the classroom to maintain a 3.9 GPA and am involved in other extracurricular activities. In high school, I was selected for Freshman and Sophomore Student Council. I also volunteered to be a part of “Creek Crew” Club where we help Freshmen get adjusted to high school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

In middle school, I participated in activities like Student Council, Principal’s Student Advisory Council and National Junior Honor Society. I really enjoyed the Principal’s Student Advisory Council because I got to represent my peers directly to the Principal and provide ideas on how to make things better.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Soccer is helping me to develop leadership skills on and off the field. For example, last year, I had an injury that kept me off the field for months. II always gave my all during PT trying to get back on the pitch stronger while following the return-to-play protocols. Being injured was not fun, but it helped me grow both mentally and physically. Now, I am back and better than ever!

What type of college are you looking for?

In college, I am looking for the best fit academically, athletically, and socially.
