Meltzer is one of the younger players at this event. She’s a 2031 who plays on the 2011/2012 San Diego Surf ECNL team. She’s one of the best left backs in the country in the 2012 age group. She’s a two-way player who can fit into any role for the style of play her team needs – they need help on the wing to create advantages or an overlapping run or an extra midfielder to break down the opposition. She can do it all and backs it up with the ability to shut down wingers consistently.

Meltzer is one of the top talents from California in the 2012 class. She’s an elite outside back who can play on the wing as well. She’s been a star at left back for her Surf club team, which is 20-0 on the season in the ECNL with only two games left. The Surf defense is so dominant that they have only let in two goals in their last nine games.

Meltzer is a two-way player. She’s a stellar 1v1 defender with quickness and effort. She is a constant threat in the attack as well. She’s hungry to get touches on the ball and shows the quality in the final third to be a difference-maker.
