Mortimore is a prolific scorer for MVLA. She plays as a center forward and has been leading the way for her club team during the start of the new club season. The MVLA star has the tools to be a top No. 9 in the country in her age group. She has a nose for the goal and a unrivaled determination. She had some great moments during the ECNL playoffs in June. She showed off her soccer smarts with the timing and angle of her runs. She could improve on her back-to-the-goal play as she has the strength to hold off defenders, but sometimes gets her body position wrong which allows smaller center backs to poke the ball away. Mortimore is a player that US Soccer should prioritize as a high upside No. 9, a position of weakness at the youth international level.
