About Christian
Expert Analysis
Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
Tshiteya played for the Northern Virginia Alliance team that ended up in third place in Group L after getting a tie and two losses in Dallas. He plays as an inverted winger on the right and has excellent ball control. Tshiteya is very skilled with his dribbling and operates well in tight spaces, breaking pressure very smoothly. Despite not being very tall, he shields the ball well with his body and works well with his back to the goal.

A quick right winger/striker, Christian can burn opponents for pace and get behind the defensive line on the end of through balls. He is constantly making runs in behind, and even when he isn’t being played through, the runs he makes attract defenders towards him opening up space in other parts of the pitch. Christian scored a nice goal on Sunday in which he used his pace down the right flank to create a one-on-one opportunity with the goalie before finishing it home.

Tshiteya was a key contributor for NVA in their Round of 16 match, netting one of his teams’ two goals and providing a spark in many moments in the offensive third. There were several more opportunities there for this group and Tshiteya to take advantage of, so look for that in the Elite 8.
