Gunning is a goalkeeper on the FC United ‘] U17 squad, which recently won the state championship. She was awarded MVP of the event for her play. She missed the final due to injury. Gunning is a terrific shot-stopper. She is quick, understands angles, and fearless in the big moments. She is not the tallest goalkeeper, but she plays to her strengths and makes saves that many goalkeepers couldn’t even dream of pulling off. Gunning has been a goalkeeper on a back-to-back state championship team. The contributions to a top club team should be noted by local scouts.
