About Colin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Hardworking with an endless motor. I am a very vocal player in the back. I played midfield for a long time so I am a CB with good feet and vision. I am dangerous out of the air and play with composure.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a team player and try to support my teammates in front of me by sharing what I see as the game progresses. I am focused on my goals and spend a lot of my personal time working on my fitness, strength, speed and technical skills. I am an extremely hard worker and will grind through to outwork my opponents. These traits helped me to earn all conference recognition in my first varsity season.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of our student ambassador program as a Huskie Crew Leader. I have had two 4.0 semesters this year and was on the honor roll all 4 semesters at school . I won a Social Studies Student of the year award as a Sophomore. I will be applying for National Honors Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I was the JV 1 Captain as a freshman in high school which helped me to learn how to lead even players one or two years older than me. I attended Catholic school up until high school so service has been a big part of my life. I am a student leader as a member of our school’s leadership club- Huskie Crew Leader & a PE leader. I plan to get involved with our Veterans Club .

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have had multiple coaches who all saw me in different positions on the field. I have played in nearly every spot which has helped me to be one of the most versatile players on the field. Being able to adapt and feel confident in multiple roles on the field has been so beneficial.

What type of college are you looking for?

Ideally I would like to be at school around 10,000-20,000 students in the Midwest or East coast. I want to find the right academic fit where I can perform well both in the classroom and on the field. I am also open to smaller strong academic schools that are closer in size to my high school 3000-5000 students.
