Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I'm a versatile player that can play any DEF or MID, but my primary roles that I play are OB, WCB, and WB. I pride myself on my high work rate, 1v1 defending, physical play, long throws, driving the ball into space, composure, and crossing. I have the ability to change my game tactically adapting to various styles of play including building from the back, counterpressing, or direct.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I'm a very determined individual & have high expectations for myself. I'm a quiet leader and lead by example. I have tremendous work ethic and push myself to my max in sport and school as I take AP. I demand 110% from myself at all times and am OK doing the dirty work needed for the team to win. I'm not demanding of where I play as long as I'm on the field. I swim competitively in the off-season.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I'm a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Beta Club. I have received academic all-state awards and Duke TIP membership.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I am the 1st born older brother of 2 siblings and the oldest of 11 cousins in my close family. I have learned to take a leadership role in my family life as well as on my soccer teams and with my friends. I was a captain on my JV team as an 8th grader. My freshmen year I was a varsity starter, 80m player and led my HS team in assists.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I didn't initially make the top ODP KY team and had to work that season to climb, eventually getting an invitation to ODP Midwest ID Camp. As a Right Back, I always battle others to keep my starting spot as there is a lot of competition. Nothing is given, I have to earn it daily.
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm looking for the right fit, a school that has my academic interests and that has coaches who value relationships with their players as individual human beings and don't view them as disposable numbers. I'm looking to stay committed at one place over 4-5 years, generate friends and leave a legacy at the school.
