Matthews is a midfielder who naturally steps into the playmaker role. Her awareness on the pitch is evident in her well-timed runs and positioning. Additionally, her confidence to take on defenders sets her apart, as she’s never afraid to challenge the back line. When driving down the line, she brings real pace, making it difficult for opponents to keep up. Furthermore, Matthews stays composed under pressure, often rising to the occasion and delivering quality in the final third. Her ability to create and finish plays makes her a key name in Georgia’s Class of 2030 midfield group.

The forward consistently capitalizes on goal opportunities, but she also plays a key role in helping her team regain possession. She opens up play by running with proper body position, making herself available to receive passes and pairing that with a quick burst toward the final third. Furthermore, her tenacity and aggression in 50/50 balls often lead to successful attacking chances. Her relentless drive and work rate set the tone up front, making her a constant threat as the season progresses.
