Lamorinda looked down and out they were down 4-1 with about 10 minutes left to play. It just didn’t seem like it was their day. And then Henning-Gerson came onto the field. She scored the goal of the day with an absolute banger from about 30 yards out that knuckled over the goalie into the net with her weaker left foot to make it 4-2. About 2 minutes later she picked up the ball on the right hand side beat a defender 1 v 1 and put in a great cross that was ultimately an own goal to make it 4-3. In what would have been an amazing finish to her day she rattled the post with about a minute left in the dying seconds of the game. Incredible showing off the bench for this young talent.
