About Ella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a strong goalkeeper with deep experience playing high-level club soccer and training with seasoned goalkeeper coaches. High soccer IQ, strong technical skills, and solid footwork and distribution. Strong awareness of others' strengths and ability to stay calm and lead forward.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I describe myself as smart, strong, hardworking, and determined with leadership skills on and off the field. My strengths and love of the game show when I am learning and can practice my technical and mental skills, and during high-pressure games and scenarios (especially PKs!) where my calm, collected nature helps my team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Member of: National Honor Society, Athletic Honor Society, Freshman mentor program Academic Honors: Top 10% of Class (Georgia Certificate of Merit Recipient, 2024)

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

While they may not be the most visible, all great goalkeepers must be strong and resilient leaders, and they must develop and demonstrate these skills. In no particular orders, I have learned effective communication, decision-making, confidence, composure under pressure, leading by example, game understanding in order to organize my teammates, resilience, a positive attitude, and mentorship.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, and they've helped to develop me into who I am today. Not making desired teams, battling through injuries, playing in negative/toxic environments, etc. At the end of the day, you have to focus on what you can control and work to develop and better yourself and stay focused on demonstrating positive values and a positive attitude.

What type of college are you looking for?

I aspire to play the highest level of college soccer for a team where I can contribute and grow while furthering my education in medicine or public health.
