Although she was recently moved from the WL to her current rankings, I’m sure that in her case a ranking score doesn’t really tell how good she really is. The early Seattle University commit is actually a highly decorated youth international player. Hernandez has played on multiple El Salvador youth national teams and recently competed in the First Round of the concacaf U-17 Women’s tournament. Although her team is not advancing to the U-17 World Cup, we will surely be seeing her play at some of the highest stages of soccer in the near future. While evaluating her on 4 or more occasions, one of her signature plays is sending a long ball right to the feet of her teammates or sending it perfectly behind the defense when they are running in full stride. Her movements and closing techniques are top-notch. Her style of play involves clean tackles as well as getting physical when needed, but in a calm and controlled manner.

The U17 Salvadoran National Team member and Seattle University D1 commit, played a solid game at the RCB position. Hernandez has a smooth change of direction move that can twist up hard-pressing opponents. She also makes clean and precise passes to nearly any spot on the pitch. One of her signature plays is sending a long ball right to the feet of her teammates or sending it perfectly behind the defense when they are running in full stride. Her movements and closing techniques are top-notch. She just came back from her team’s competition while going 1-1-1 at the World Cup Qualifying in Trinidad & Tobago. The El Salvadorian Youth National team player showed her pedigree on Saturday. So comfortable dribbling into midfield from center back and distributing. She’s a physical player who moves other bodies very well. She’s on a very good De Anza Force team who should compete for an ECNL National Championship this year. Many national team players are faced with a choice of pursuing a professional opportunities or college scholarships and Hernandez will be no different.
