Andrews and her stellar Solar SC G06/05 team have matches scheduled against World Class FC, Eclipse Select SC and La Roca FC this weekend in Dallas. She likes to play on the right side of the backline, be it more centrally in a back three or out wide in a back four. In either position, she’s very difficult to get by because of her extraordinary skills. Besides being very physical, Andrews also reads the game very well and is excellent with her decision-making when trying to win the ball back. She’s also of great help when not directly involved in plays, coming inside to help protect the penalty box. Andrews also has a strong offensive game and is always an excellent option when she pushes forward down the right flank.

Andrews plays right back for a talented Solar SC G06 team. A Kentucky commit, she can also be used in the center of the defense, but is at her best in a wider position, where her athleticism and her ability in 1v1 duels make more of a difference. Andrews is excellent at shutting down opponents, in great part because of how well she can read the game and anticipate their moves. She’s also very fast and disciplined when tracking back and often provides excellent coverage to her center backs when plays develop on the opposite side of the backline. Andrews also does a good job offensively, overlapping the wingers and midfielders and offering a passing option for them out wide.

Andrews was one of the several talented players of the Solar SC 06 team that registered three wins and three shutouts in the event. I watched her in action against Crossfire Premier 06 on Sunday and she was rock solid at right back. Andrews is a strong defensive player with good instincts and excellent decision-making who takes great care of her area in the field. She also displayed an interesting offensive game, widening the field with her runs and making good passes in the final third.
