Gomez is a forward on the Los Angeles FC U17 MLS Next team. He plays center forward for his club team. He is six-feet tall and right footed. Gomez scored five goals in the first four games of the season. He has emerged as a key part of the attack for LAFC. The goal he scored against LA Galaxy was impressive. He split the two center backs with his run and finished from a tight angle against an on-rushing goalkeeper. Gomez has found ways to impact the game in a variety of ways. His movement off the ball is his best attribute, but he continues to be very active defensively and has used that pressure to create chances as well. Locking down a crucial role with LAFC should get him on the radar for scouts at the professional and college level during this season.
