About Frances

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a goalkeeper, my gameplay style is a combination of agility, decision-making, and communication. I prioritize positioning to ensure I'm in the best spot to make saves. My shot-stopping ability is complemented by quick reflexes and a strong command of the box, allowing me to effectively deal with crosses and set pieces. I focus on reading the game to anticipate the opponent.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

As a goalkeeper, my mentality is built around resilience, focus, and a strong sense of responsibility. I embrace the challenge of being the last line of defense, which requires me to maintain composure under pressure and make quick, decisive decisions. My personality tends to be collected allowing me to influence my teammates positively and keep the team's morale high, even during tough games.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer with my local AYSO providing coaching to younger soccer players; I enjoy teaching kids the skills of soccer and focus on developing young keepers. In school I am part of the Recycling Club and was recently awarded the Citizen Award for being an exemplary student.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As the last line of defense, goalkeepers often take on a leadership role on the field while learning how to work and collaborate as a team. This has helped me in my day to day outside of the field, applying the values I have learned. I like to give back to my community by volunteering to the first league I played, AYSO. As a line ref, assisting coach, helper or developing skills .

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a school with a strong academic program but also provides a healthy balance between academics and athletics, allowing me to excel in both areas. It is important for me to be challenged in the classroom and to have teachers that are engaged and approachable. In soccer, I do want to be part of a team that prioritizes player development and fosters a passion for the game, with coaches
