About Gianna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a dynamic, fast-paced, and disciplined player with strong field vision and technical ability. Being ambidextrous makes my shots and ball movement unpredictable. I love attacking space, breaking down defenders, and pressing with relentless energy. I'm more explosive than most players because of my track speed training, allowing me to separate instantly and attack at full pace.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Deciplined, goal oriented and higly competitive. Relentless and high-energy with an unmatched work rate. I train year-round as a multi-sport athlete (track and soccer). I do both because I know that my speed gives me a unique edge to change the game in transition and high-pressure moments. Funny and outgoing. Love traveling, art/drawing and spending time with family and friends.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

As an 8th grader, I received the MLK Jr. Humanitarian Impact Award from Wheeler High School for my leadership, community service, and positive influence. 3x AAU Junior Olympian, currently ranked among the Top 100 in the U.S. (400m/800m). #1 ranked 800m runner in Georgia. Also qualified for the following national track events: Nike, New Balance and State Games of America.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My biggest strengths are leadership, teamwork, and resilience. Competing in both soccer and track has taught me how to push through challenges, encourage my teammates, and perform under pressure. I’ve also learned how to be disciplined and consistent, which carries into everything I do.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was watching my mother battle cancer in 2023 and 2024. During that time, I had to remain focused and consistent in my academics and athletics, which strengthened my mental toughness and gave me perspective on how to overcome adversity.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a college program that values my unique talents as a player, pushes me to compete at the highest level, and gives me the opportunity to make an impact on the team.
