Cassano created havoc down the line for much of the first half, consistently generating chances and showing her ability to weave through traffic. Her movement and creativity in the final third led to an assist. Ultimately set up her own goal late in the first half. Coming into the middle of the pitch, she controlled the ball well and laid it off to create space for her teammates. As a true striker, Cassano used her speed to break free. Then finished her goal by touching past the last defender and calmly tapping it in beyond the keeper. Altogether, her all-around attacking play and sharp instincts made her a standout in every phase of the match.
