Wakatsuki is a rare talent in that she has played for both the Japan and US Youth National Teams. That type of international pedigree is incredibly uncommon and makes her a top target in this class.
The ECNL game film shows a player with top level potential. She can play as an outside back (right back) or defensive midfielder. She is a top prospect in either role. Her play as an outside back is probably where most of the scouting will be for her among college coaches. She is a tidy player on the ball with a great first touch.
