About Jacoby

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm an extremely dynamic box-to-box midfielder that can create goals but is also equally committed on the defensive side of the ball. I display a high work rate and dominate defensively with strong positioning, tackles, and physicality.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mindset is built on resilience, confidence, and a never-settle attitude that's always hungry for the next level. I'm driven by competition and always looking to improve my skillset. I thrive in high-stakes moments, embrace challenges and push myself beyond limits to separate from the average player.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've developed confidence in my ability to play the game of soccer and be a approachable leader that other can depend on. I've also pride myself on being coachable, humble, honest and willing to do whatever it takes for my team to have success.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Some of the most significant challenges that I've faced are: balancing school, training, travel, and recovery while maintaining a social life; missing out on normal teenage experiences (parties, vacations, free weekends) to stay committed; keeping a strict diet, sleep schedule, and lifestyle that others your age might not understand.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college with a strong soccer pedigree, high-level coaching, and a track record of developing players for the pros.

Nickeson is a midfielder on the Albion SC San Diego U15 MLS Next team. He is a right-footed do-everything type of midfielder. He is a dominant presence in the center of the field. He’s almost an eraser for his team. He shuts down the opposition with his tackling and positioning. The best aspect of his game is his aggressive pressing in the right moments. He reads the game well and hounds the opposition into costly mistakes. Then he immediately punishes those mistakes with his expert passing and ability to dribble past defenders. Nickeson is a highly motivated player with unlimited potential. He looks to be on the professional pathway.
