Dern was very active on the left side of Real Colorado’s midfield, consistently getting involved in the team’s attacking plays. She made quite a few dangerous runs through the left and was very hard to dispossess when she picked up her pace. Dern also did a geat job of creating for her teammates as she always looked for them when approaching the penalty box and managed to make some good crosses. She also spent some time playing as a striker and worked well with her back to the goal.
